The eldest of the four brothers, Wim has been an outstanding rugby player from an early age. He represented the Northern Free State in the Craven Week, as well as played for the Central Bonds Team in his final school year (Kroonstad Agricultural High) in 1993.
While studying Sport Science at Tukkies in Pretoria, Wim was a proud team member of the SA u/21’s for two years. He also ran out for the Blue Bulls during his four student years and boasted the title of Tukkies Sportsman Of The Year for three years.
Wim gained two years of carpentry experience in London, whereafter he moved to Knysna with Ben to start the Meyerbros company in 2005.
For the last two years, Wim has been fuelling his passion for sport by playing club rugby in France. He returned to South Africa in 2009 as a silent partner to settle in Pretoria with his wife and newly born daughter.
